Two Friends, One Kitchen, and a Better Way

Rendered Gold started the way the best things do: by accident, in a kitchen, between friends.

Shannon was tired of reading ingredient labels that sounded like chemistry experiments. After years of trying "clean" products that disappointed, she started making her own.

When she discovered grass-fed tallow, everything changed. "I couldn't believe how well it worked," she says. "My skin had never felt this good."

In October 2024, after being laid off from her job, Shannon saw an opportunity. What if this hobby could become something real? Something meaningful?

She called her best friend Amber.

Amber, a wellness enthusiast and mother, had been searching for skincare safe enough for her toddler and effective enough for herself. When Shannon shared her tallow formulas, Amber knew they were onto something. "Every ingredient has a purpose," Amber says. "Nothing unnecessary. Nothing I wouldn't put on my own child."

Together, they tested. They refined. They obsessed over ratios and textures.
