It all began in a tiny kitchen after we discovered the incredible benefits of grass-fed tallow. Instead of buying pre-made versions, we wanted to create our own from scratch, so we started buying beef fat trimmings from a local farm and rendering our first batches right at home. Staying close to nature and close to our community just felt right.
The early days were filled with trial and error. Some batches turned out dreamy, smooth, fluffy, and buttery. Others were too liquid, too grainy, or simply not what we wanted. We laughed, we cried, we questioned everything, and then we kept going. We mixed, melted, measured, and scribbled notes across messy counters while chasing the perfect texture. Staying up late adding ingredients, taking others away, adjusting ratios until we were satisfied.
